The Redeemed Man

Putting Your Children on a Path to Faith

Season 3 Episode 19

As a child, Chris Shinnick remembers, he was uncommonly blessed to have two parents who were authentic and consistent as role models for a faithful life. Today, as a father of three and pastor of Manna Church West Florida in Niceville, Fla., he has the blessing—and bears the burden—of presenting a similarly godly example for both his family and his congregation. In conversation with Nate Dewberry, Chris talks about the importance of letting children find their own answers to questions of faith, as well as being a parenting “team” with his wife, the lessons they learned from losing an infant child, and putting grace and repentance before shame and condemnation.
